The Middle Ground…

We never know how rough or easy our journey may be until we take that leap of faith towards our purpose.

I believe that often times we are hesitant to take that step towards our future because of our fear of failure. I know this to be true for myself because I have bills, I have a child, I have responsibilities that all need to be taken care of, so why would I in my right mind take a step off of solid ground into what look like troubled waters to chase a purpose that I am not even 100% sure about? All of those thoughts crippled me and kept me in fear, preventing me to go after my purpose and to create my happiness towards a better life for me and my family.

It wasn't until I was forced to take that leap of faith, that I realized it isn't as bad as I made it out to be in my head. Yes, there are plenty of rough moments going through my journey, but me constantly believing and holding on to my faith is what get me through those rough waters, that I call "the middle ground". I wholeheartedly believe that we have to go through the middle ground in order to strengthen our faith, either we will take our eyes off the purpose and drown in the rough waters or we will keep our eyes on the purpose and thread through the rough waves effortlessly. You can refer to Matthew 14:27-32 in the Bible. This particular part stood out to me the most, this is when Jesus walked on water and the disciples were afraid. Jesus spoke to them saying 27"Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid". 28Peter then answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." 29he said "Come". so Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and as he began to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." 31Jesus Immediately reached out his hand and took hold-of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?". 32 and when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. This stood out to me because it's basically saying if you believe that the Lord will provide for you during this time, there is no need to worry about anything else, no matter how rough things my be while you're in the middle ground of your journey he will always be there to guide, protect and provide for you.

Now I am not saying it is easy, but I will say it is comforting knowing that as long as you are faithful and doing the work you will not fail. The Middle Ground is not an easy place to be, but you can make the best of if by staying positive, paying attention to what need to be cut off and what changes need to be made. The middle ground is the preparation of what's to come from what you are praying for and manifesting along your journey. You will hit many highs and a lot more lows during this phase, don't be discouraged by the rough waves that will come your way, the best way to handle it is to ask what is this trying to teach me? what lesson do I need to learn? and trust me your outlook on life will change drastically, you will begin to learn how to navigate through situations that once knocked you on the ground not knowing how to get up. Appreciate the middle ground, embrace it like no other. it has a lot to teach you, don't allow it to destroy you it is meant to make you stronger, wiser, understanding and knowledgable. there is no set time on how long you will have to endure your middle ground, just know that you will not be there forever.
